Learn the art of flower arranging with the Shade Valley Council of Floral Arts!

Learn to identify flowers, how to groom specimens, and new floral designs in this workshop series. Each session will cover different topics and various tips on flower arranging. Additionally, these sessions will help participants prepare for the Meigs County Fair Flower Show by learning new floral designs, though not required.

Celebrate a fun summer of reading, full of events, challenges, and BOOKS! We'll have water slides, games, and refreshments at the Racine Library on July 17th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.

Collect any reading prizes and certificates you've earned over the summer, and pat yourself on the back for all the books you've read!

Bagged lunches will be available for children as a part of Ohio's Summer Food Service Program prepared by Meigs Local Food Service. A huge thanks to this local agency for providing the MANY meals we hand out for each children's program over the summer.

The Summer Reading Program continues with "All About Camping & Hiking"!

Jenny Ridenour with Meigs Soil and Water Conservation District, will be at the Racine Library with an introduction to camping and hiking. Learn about the gear you'll need to be successful, plus, Jenny will share plenty of safety tips for your trip. 

New York Times Best Selling Illustrator, Richard Cowdrey, will be at the Pomeroy Library on July 3rd at 2:00 PM to host a Draw Along. This event is a part of the Summer Reading Program, but participants of all ages will enjoy this presentation!

Richard Cowdrey is the illustrator of many children's books, including Fiona the Hippo, a star from the Cincinnati Zoo.  From Cincinnati, Ohio and is a graduate from the Columbus College of Art & Design, Richard has traveled throughout Ohio and the country to share his talents and speak about his journey with students.

Bring your Wiggle Worms to the soft play party at the Pomeroy Library! 

There will be bouncy castles, hoppers, foam play sets, and tunnels! Bring your babies and toddlers to safely explore while engaging in sensory activities and socializing. 

We'll be here from 10:00 in the morning through 2:00 in the afternoon, so drop in whenever works best for your schedule!
 

School is out for the summer! Celebrate with an Ice Cream Social at the Pomeroy Library! We'll have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry for participants of all ages. 

PLUS! Participants have a chance to sign up for the Summer Reading Program EARLY! Regular registration begins on May 28th, but participants at the Ice Cream Social have the opportunity to pre-register.

Create your own miniature fairy garden to take home! This event is for all ages. Bring the whole family, a group of friends, or come on your own! 

Supplies will be provided, but we do ask that you bring a container, if you have one. A large, shallow pot, or basket would work well. Participants will go home with their own fairy gardens.
